Tabianchi (SOS)

Tabianchi S.O.S! (Someni, Oneni, Skizeni) is Docubox’s climate storytelling initiative that amplifies local narratives about climate change and its impact on African communities.
Supported by Hivos, the program brought together filmmakers and journalists to explore the intersections of climate change, livelihoods,
policy, and environmental justice.
Through story development workshops, mentorship, and production support, the program supported two short documentaries:
Mikoko — directed by Mark Maina
Our Planet, Our Future — directed by Kini Wakini
These films were screened alongside other curated climate documentaries during community and school impact screenings across
several regions in Kenya to encourage dialogue around climate awareness, environmental responsibility, and climate justice.
