Climate Story Lab Africa
About the Project
Docubox convened Climate Story Lab Africa, a gathering of filmmakers, storytellers, activists, and climate experts exploring how storytelling can shift the narrative around climate justice on the continent.
Held as a hybrid virtual and in-person event, the lab created space for participants to examine the role of film and creative storytelling in communicating the realities of climate change, amplifying community voices, and inspiring collective action.
Through panel discussions, case studies, and collaborative sessions, participants explored themes including climate justice, adaptation and resilience, climate finance, and the power of storytelling to make complex climate issues accessible to wider audiences.
By bringing together practitioners across sectors, Docubox helped foster dialogue and partnerships aimed at strengthening Africa-centered climate narratives and supporting storytellers working at the intersection of film, environment, and social impact.
