Film Pro Series

Film Pro Series – East Africa was a professional training initiative hosted by Docubox to strengthen the technical and creative skills of emerging film professionals in the East African film industry.
In its pilot stage, the program was funded by the Robert Bosch Stiftung and implemented in partnership with Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and Rushlake Media. The curriculum was designed by Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and delivered by experienced German film professionals, while Docubox coordinated the program locally.
The program was developed to elevate the skills of young film professionals in East Africa who already possessed an intermediate understanding of filmmaking. As a “Pro Series”, the application process was selective, ensuring that participants were able to fully benefit from the advanced training sessions.
