The Commander’s Daughter

The film is set in northern Uganda a region that is known for high level of poverty. It is also a region that experienced war for more than twenty five years.The Commander’s Wife is a film about a formerly abducted woman’s struggle to ensure that her 15 year old daughter (born during the Lord’s Resistance Army captivity) does not become a child mother. The film follows her struggle to protect and fend for her children especially her 15 year old daughter so that she can attain education and avoid a repetition of what happened to her (Irene) when she was forced to become a wife at the tender age of 15.
