Beyond the Hustle

Beyond the Hustle is a documentary series by Docubox in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation. The series explores the realities of young entrepreneurs across Kenya, Ghana, and Uganda as they navigate opportunity, innovation, and the future of work.
Through intimate storytelling, the series follows young people as they build businesses, overcome systemic barriers, and create new possibilities for themselves and their communities. Their journeys highlight the creativity, resilience, and determination shaping Africa’s evolving economic landscape.
The project builds on Docubox’s ongoing commitment to listening to and amplifying youth voices. By documenting these lived experiences, Beyond the Hustle captures the aspirations, challenges, and bold ideas redefining what meaningful work looks like for a new generation across the continent.
