The film follows Everlyn’s daily life in rural Mumbira,a life built in sweet potato farming since her
husband died in 2018.Now shattered by recurring floods ,fueled by rice plantation runoff and heavy
rainfall .Her eldest son sacrifices college so his younger siblings can stay in school,each flood destroys
huts,drowns her livestock,and forces her family to seek refuge at a red cross camp .When the water
rises reveals her hope for improved infrastructure,land away from floods,and a good life that she
believes her children will be able to provide her once educated.
